An On The Ground Perspective From Pakistan

If you have been following the conversation in one of my older posts, we have been discussing with a gentlemen from Pakistan the issues that are currently ongoing. The original post was in, "Pakistan and the Taliban." Jerjes is extremely intelligent and the insights he brings were just too good to leave in the comments section of that post. I will be discussing this further tomorrow, and I would just like to thank Jerjes for writing back this information.

Bryan thats very true that many foreign fighters are now leaving the tribal areas, because now they are sure that these areas are not any more safe heaven for us.After the request of frontier government we have launched massive operation in SWAT.

Border is not completely closed, it is difficult to control all the border, but we are controlling the situation after moving in the tribal areas, its was the big issue how to get in, but now we are in and controlling everything.

But its not only responsibility of Pakistan to control all the border, we have thousands of posts in border side, But Afghanistan has just few hundreds, so they must work hard to control their side, today we seen armed taliban they were coming to Pakistan from Afghanistan but theyrun off after the clash with security forces.

Tribal leaders are only afraid of Pakistan government but at some extend, and we don't need to afraid them because we know them completely what they are, they are peaceful polite person, because of poverty and lack of education miss-used and had sympathy with " US Made Al-Qaida for soviet cause " after the ignorance of American intelligence agencies after cold war Al-Qaida made their stronghold in Afghanistan, and it effected Pakistan's border areas, Tribal were just influenced but they love their country, and they are completely supporting Federal government and thats why operation is going on.

So Tribal is not issue, issue is to clean tribal area which is occupied by foreign and local militants.

We will not let them miss use our country and would not allow anyone to use our land for their internal and external interests, that is the basic right and law to protect our boundaries so we are doing.

Pakistan is moderate country, we know and understand we have got life for once and we have right to spend it progressively prosperously and peacefully.

Our intelligence agencies are not supporting Talibans, because they are aware that these talibans are threat for our country and killing our soldiers, I have answer for you Bryan if some extremists start killing your soldiers would CIA support those them?. ask your self.

The Claim of CIA That Pakistan's ISI is supporting Taliban is completely wrong and bogus, ISI can not do this, impossible because they are working under prime minster of Pakistan. would PM allow them to support those elements who have killed thousand of civilians by suicide bombing, has assassinated party Chairperson Benazir Bhutto, and completely against government policies and disabling country.

Why this simple thing CIA can not understand, I don't trust CIA reporting after their claim at IRAQ that they having Nuclear weapon, on that bogus report they destroyed whole country and still they are unable to stable it.

We are Governing Country not town, so we respect and accept international law, and we are following it, we expect the same by other countries.

We want complete solution of FATA, and that is to rehabilitate FATA after on going military operation.

thats how this thing will come at end peacefully, Trust Pakistan Government because it is itself victim of terrorists. thats why we call it Pakistan's war against Terror, we dont only wipe out these extremists from FATA but from every part of Pakistan.

We need investments for country's progress and it can happen by providing peaceful atmosphere for foreign investors, progress can not be achieved under the umbrella of terror.

We know this and we are on the way.

We hate Extremism more than you because we are suffering by it and we are fighting, the permission for NATO forces we are not allowing because it will worst the conditions Tribal will stand against for NATO forces but not for us. so let Pakistan fight its own fight, and NATO should control conditions in Afghanistan.

We are more serious, curious and conscious than you for our country. we want quick progress and for that we need quick clean up.
