Election Day here in Afghanistan. My hat is truly off to the Afghan People. Today, after years of fighting a brutal group of rapists, thugs, and criminals -- otherwise known as the taliban; the Afghan People once again have shown they are taking their Country back and not living in fear of these criminals. It's funny ....in the United States on Election Day, people hem and haw over whether they want to stand in line to vote. Here, these brave men and women stand in line knowing how important casting their vote really is.

 

Congratulations to the Afghan People today and all of the brave men and women who have helped to make this day a reality.
